Hagar Gelbard-Sagiv has recently completed her PhD in the laboratory of Prof. Rafael Malach at the Weizmann Institute of Science (Israel). During her PhD she collaborated with Dr. Fried to study the neuronal correlates of memory formation and recollection processes in humans. Working with humans, she was able to use experimental paradigms that mimic memory formation and recollection in real-life scenarios and touch upon questions that are not accessible in animal research. Hagar is now a postdoctoral research fellow at the laboratory of Prof. Christof Koch at Caltech. During her postdoc she will continue her collaboration with Dr. Fried and utilize the unique setup to study the neuronal basis of conscious perception.
